About Us

The University of Washington Structural Informatics Group (SIG) is an interdisciplinary team of computer scientists, engineers and biologists for more information, please see the Structural Informatics Group website. The primary audience of the Digital Anatomist Interactive Atlases is anatomists and medical students, who use the website in teaching and learning anatomy. The "Quiz Mode" is particularly popular for studying for exams. The atlases were first made available on the web in 1995 and continue to be in heavy demand from around the world. The Digital Anatomist Interactive Atlases have won a variety of Awards.
